William Katt would have read for the part of Luke Skywalker as the auditions for Carrie and Star Wars were happening simultaneously. Meaning you saw William Katt on the worst day of his life.
Have you seen the documentary, WE BLEW IT? Dir. Jean-Baptiste Thoret, 2017. It's available on YouTube. It's a road movie trying to figure out how the idealism of the early hippies shifted to MAGA Trumpers. It has some really good--and depressing--interviews include Charles Burnett, Michael Mann, Jeff Lieberman, Stephanie Rothman, and what I believe is the last interview Tobe Hooper did before his death. The film begins with Peter Fonda's line in EASY RIDER, and ends with Hooper, unintentionally I think, also saying "we blew it" as he kind of takes stock of the last few decades.
That's hysterical. He seemed like he was in a good mood.
I'll check it out
